Eternal Rest

"On the opposite side of the channel, it moves the tail of taste, pointed ears, a brown-colored canine, the goddess of dusk, the evening star of darkness, the underworld and death."

In the earthly plane, a faithful sacred dog, friend and companion of man, among the living and the dead — Xoloitzcuintli — who fled and hid among the cornfields when the sun and moon first appeared in the sky, shares the continuous path in the search for the eternal rest of your soul and in the descent to the underworld, where that affable traveler, in your journey — Ears — a tributary at the riverbank waits for you to cross the rushing currents, leaving behind the diaphanous wanderers that blend with the wind along with the lord of dusk without ever even starting their journey.

Friendly words from Xoloitzcuintles, Jacobo and María Ángeles, which stem from an ancient tradition and the bond with these superlative beings, share a set of sculptures that feature well-defined backs, trunks, and ears, contemplating the subjectivity of art in every line and stroke in black and white, ultimately in a brownish color, not casually tying their necks in carats and outlining imposing postures of the ancient being — imperial being — Eternal Rest, a remote boundary to the offering to these beings of intelligence and magnificent personality who share the continuous path to save your soul in the spiritual world, earthly realm, and the underworld.
