Rolls Royce
Hotel Xcaret Arte
An elegant English traveler arrived in Tilcajete, Oaxaca, to fill himself with life, color, and fantasy. San Martín Tilcajete is a town well-known for honoring Mexican popular art through the reinterpretation of its copal wood carving, decorated with multicolored designs.
Jacobo and María Ángeles founded their workshop in this place, with the desire to rescue the ancestral practice of bringing tonas and nahuales to life, always with the intention of teaching, sharing, and contributing to the community.
Today, Hotel Xcaret Arte is pleased to present this magnificent piece adorned by the creativity and delicate craftsmanship of masters Jacobo and María. This classic 1945 Rolls Royce is part of a line of work in which various automobiles have been intervened to translate the workshop's worldview into itinerant substrates, different from the recognized wooden figures. We invite you to contemplate, dream, and continue your journey through design, art, and Mexican traditions.
