The artistic intervention of everyday objects is one of the most fascinating ways to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. The Jacobo & María Ángeles Workshop has taken this practice to an exceptional level, exploring various techniques and designs that enrich each piece with a new narrative.
Over the years, Jacobo and María Ángeles have perfected their ability to intervene from small objects like a coffee maker to luxury vehicles, going through a wide variety of collaborations that explore new artistic dimensions. On this occasion, the collaboration with the brand CLŌE results in a series of accessories that invite reflection, self-confidence, and beauty, providing those who wear them with a unique piece of design.
The coyote, the main animal in this collaboration, symbolizes communication, persuasion, and assertiveness, essential qualities that are reflected in the character of CLŌE. In the Zapotec worldview, the coyote is an attentive and wise guide, whose teachings are the foundation of this collection.
The designs incorporate elements of Zapotec culture, such as the labyrinth, the sun, the fish, the sheep, and the ant, which represent concepts like the search, hope, strength, and work. Other important symbols include the rattlesnake, the house, the temple, the butterfly, the wind, the calendar, and the seed, which allude to power, protection, worship, happiness, movement, time, and fertility.
This collection not only honors a rich cultural tradition but also celebrates creativity and the fusion between the artisanal and the modern.
