Reforestation 2020
The earth has asked us for a breath
For the tenth consecutive year, our annual reforestation took place, which this time, due to the pandemic affecting the entire world, had to be a little different. Friends from different parts of the world adopted their little trees, from which they chose the species and the name they would carry; we took care of the rest: planting them, watering them, pruning them, and fertilizing them. Giving them all the necessary care so they grow big and strong.
“The Earth has asked us for a breath” and we gave it to her this past August 9, planting the little trees that, throughout the year, we took care of to ensure they germinate.
We have reached, thanks to all those who supported us both in person and from a distance, our goal of planting nearly 3,000 trees of different species such as copal, jarilla, tepehuaje, pine, and maguey, across 5.9 hectares of land, which fills us with joy.
For the past 18 years, at Palo que Habla we have sought sustainable forest management alternatives that enable the recovery of our biodiversity, as we believe that each of us, starting with small actions, can achieve great changes that together contribute to gradually stopping climate change.
